Rogers Yamaha and Agricentre Yamaha are proud to bring the BLU CRU Kids Camp to Southland in 2026. This weekend event is designed to give young riders a safe, fun, and unforgettable experience on two wheels, while the whole family enjoys time together outdoors.
A Camp for Everyone
The Southland camp is limited to 150 riders to keep it personal, supportive, and safe. Our focus is on helping every child grow their skills and confidence, while making sure the entire family has a weekend to remember.
Weekend Format
Friday: Arrive from the afternoon, set up camp, and join the welcome briefing.
Saturday & Sunday: Two full days of riding on a variety of colour-coded trail loops, plus games, activities, and coaching sessions.
Families bring their own accommodation — whether that’s a tent, caravan, trailer, truck, or motorhome. Some choose to stay off-site at nearby venues. You’ll also need to bring your own food, cooking gear, snacks, water, and fuel (you’ll be surprised how many hours of riding are packed into the weekend!).
On Saturday evening, we host a kids’ BBQ followed by games that the whole family enjoys. It’s the perfect chance to relax, socialise, and get to know other families.
Trails for All Levels
Our Southland team sets up a range of tracks to suit every rider:
Blue – Mini Kids Track, close to camp for balance bikes and first-time riders.
Green – Learners and small kids’ track, about 1 km long.
Yellow – Around 5 km, a step up for bigger kids.
Red – A longer loop of about 10 km, rideable by most.
Expert – A 15–20 km challenge loop for adults and advanced riders.
Coaching Sessions
On Saturday we run one-hour coaching blocks, booked in advance to group riders by age, bike size, and ability. These sessions are run by our experienced bLU cRU coaches and provide huge value for riders at every level.
Bikes and Mechanics
Our camps welcome all bike brands. Younger children are also welcome to bring push bikes — there’s plenty of space and they love riding together at the end of the day.
A full-time mechanic will be on-site throughout the weekend to lend a hand with small fixes, regardless of bike brand. We’ll also have a range of Yamaha demo bikes available to test ride in 30-minute slots on Saturday. This is a great way to find out what suits your child, with experts and local dealers on hand to guide you.
More Than Just Riding
The bLU cRU Kids Camp is about more than time on the trails. From family BBQs and evening games to meeting new friends, it’s an opportunity to connect, explore, and make memories in Southland’s great outdoors.
Every camp location has its own character, and our Southland venue will be no different — bringing together a unique mix of trails, activities, and country hospitality.
